Flourish gate with Magnolias

Hello everyone! For this week’s inspiration I prepared 6” x 6” step card. This card was created with Sweet Magnolia Collection, new Royal Gateway dies and decorated with Magnolia flowers.

Instructions: Step card measures – 6 inches by 6 inches. To create a card base – cut out 12” x 6” piece of HCPP1-438-2 White card and score it at 6″ ( long side up), then fold using a bone folder along the score lines. Cut out 4 1/2” x 6” piece of HCPP1-438-2 White card and score it at 2” and 4” (short side up), then fold using a bone folder along the score lines and adhere it to the card base to create a step card. Cut out one 6” x 6” piece and two 6” x 2” pieces of HCDP1-2126 Sweet Magnolia Paper Collection, distress the edges of the larger piece with Memento Dye Ink – Bamboo Leaves and with Memento Dye Ink – Lilac Posies for the smaller pieces, then adhere all the pieces to the card base as shown. Using HCD2-7350 Royale Gateway Die, cut one decorative gate using from HCPP1-438-2 White card and one of Pink card, then stack and adhere them together on the front of the card using Dries Clear Adhesive with Metal Tip. Stamp the Magnolia branches of HCPC-3949 Sweet Magnolia Buds Cling Stamp Set on HCPP1-475 Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper with Memento Dye Ink Pad – Elderberry, then colour the image with Memento Dye Inks: Lilac Posies and Bamboo Leaves using Tombow Dual Brush Maker N00 Blender. Die cut the images with matching HCD1-7347 Sweet Magnolia Buds Die, shape them using HCST1-401 Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and adhere them to the card base using both Dries Clear Glue and 3D foam. Stamp the flower cluster images from HCPC-3944 Delightful Daffodil & Hyacinth Cling Stamp Set on HCPP1-475 Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper with TSMP708 Memento Dye Ink Pad – Olive Grove, then colour the images with Memento Dye Ink Pads – Bamboo leaves and Rose Bud using 282873 Tombow Dual Brush Maker N00 Blender and HCDA1-449 daubers. Die cut the images with matching HCD1-7342 Delightful Daffodil & Hyacinth Die and adhere them on the back of the gate using 3D foam pieces. Stamp the Magnolia petals from HCPC-3948 Sweet Magnolia Blooms Cling Stamp Set on HCDP1-2126 Sweet Magnolia Paper Collection with Memento Dye Ink Pad – Lilac Posies, then colour the image with the same ink using HCDA1-449 Daubers. Die cut the images with matching HCD1-7346 Sweet Magnolia Blooms Die, shape them using HCST1-401 Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Assemble Magnolia flower petals using a hot glue gun and make sure to offset them. Use a paper piercer to make a hole in the middle of it and pull some stamens through it. Add a bit of hot glue underneath the flower to secure the stamens. Adhere the flowers on the card base using a Hot glue gun.
